Products for Helping Kids Grow Up

There are many ways to help kids grow up and their parents to keep up with their growing children. Potty training can be more fun if the potties are adorable with fun characters painted on them. Growth charts and photo growth charts help keep track of your child's growth. Teach children how to tell time with clocks that have been personalized with your child's name and beautiful designs and themes. That will help keep them focused on time. Teach them the alphabet with products that have letters on them. As you read to your child, put their books in bookshelves that are imaginative with themes. As your child bonds with the theme's character(s), such as in the Maisy Collection, add to the collection with other products with the same theme. Teach your children to save their special memories in their beautifully crafted storage products and toy chests. Teach your child to put away their clothes on clothes racks and into hampers.

Learning the ABC's the Fun Way

Learning while having fun is a lot better, isn't it? With letters all over the place, children can learn without even realizing it.

Have your child sit on a rocker, work at a table or store things in their bench, they are learning all the way.

The photographs not only beautify their rooms, but as kids look at them, they are reminded about the ABC's. Kids can personalize their furniture with letters or their names.

When you find ways to help your kids learn, it makes you feel better as a parent.

Helping the Working Parent

We are all very busy. Spending enough time with family and business is a challenge to achieve. It's great to find ways where you can mix the two.
For example, get your kids to help out with your work. If you need to research something or find something on the Internet, let your kids do it. They already know how to navigate the Internet very well.

Are your kids trying to learn to type? Then why not give them some of your work to practice typing with.
Set them up with their desks and comfortable chairs near your work area and get digging. A great work area has proper lighting and bookcases. Train them on how to be organized. Working together can give you another opportunity to spending more time with your child while achieving other benefits.

Preparing Kids for the Future

Parents would love for their kids to keep order and household skills to learn to take care of themselves as they get older. Having storage and play furniture that lends themselves to this learning process is great.

There are beautiful pieces of furniture such as hampers to get kids to put their laundry in the right place and storage boxes that look like washers and dryers to get kids to think along the lines of helping around the house.

Learning with Decorative Furniture

I love the colorful 'Painted Ladies' victorian homes. Since I can't have one, I like to focus on beautiful, colorful and decorative furniture.

Kids also enjoy their rooms more when they have beautiful kids furniture and play furniture, especially colorful ones.

Having colorful and decorative play furniture helps children develop their creativity and innovation.

I remember when I was very young, I would organize my art supplies by color and shape. Parents can teach children the colors and shapes by focusing on the beautiful samples on the furniture and toys. It is a great way to facilitate early education.

Thomas Trains as Educational Entertainment

When my son was 3 years old, he started playing with the Thomas train set. It was more than just fun. It was educational.

He learned new definitions such as ascending and descending tracks. He tried all kinds of layouts and designed cities with imagination. He loved to go on subway and bus rides, analyze the routes, and then go home to mimic those routes with his Thomas tracks. He learned to read maps, and more.

And he loved the Thomas videos that offered not only enjoyment, but excellent language, interesting stories. The characters seemed real since he played with them and developed his own stories with the tracks and trains.
And when he finished playing for the day, together we would organize all the pieces in their right place, by shape, size and type. This is the start of beneficial organizational training.

Remembering Special Musical Moments

Music brings many special memories. My musical interest started in second grade when my grandmother taught me to play the piano.

As time progressed, I added the
clarinet to my musical interests so that I could participate in my JHS band. I'm very happy I did, because so many additional memories are now part of my heart. I loved all the instruments and tried to play all the band instruments.

I participated in the borough-wide band in the most awesome year -- we actually performed in Carnegie Hall. What an unbelievable experience I felt when I walked onto the stage and sat down to perform!

Another memory came from my senior year at high school. "The Sting" was a highlight in the movies. So, why not? We decided to perform it at our high school year-end concert. The audience was on fire. What a night!

And a very special memory was created when I was pregnant with my son. I performed one of my favorite piano pieces, Beethoven's Concerto No.5 at Steinway Hall. Who could ask for anything more!

Playing musical instruments bring such cherished memories. I don't know what I would do without these memories.
